Pest Management: We eschew all pesticides and other chemicals to focus on using our animals to create healthy soil. Healthy soil creates strong plants, which are more resilient to pests. We also occasionally introduce populations of natural insect predators to control pests.
Water Management: We give our livestock the water they need, while limiting waste, through a system of 85 gallon waterers and automated on demand hog spouts. During the worst of the summer we employ low level drip irrigation to improve pastureland.

Pest Management:

Weed Management:

Rather than use herbicides or synthetic fertilizers, we mulch to suppress weeds and even pull them up the old fashioned way! This can be more labor intensive, but also allows us to create jobs in agriculture while doing things responsibly.
